Pastor Sammy D. Nelson Sr.
Sammy D. Nelson Sr. was born in Osceola, AR on July 18, 1962. He attended school in Wilson, AR from the first grade to the ninth grade but graduated from Osceola high school. He later turned down a scholarship to college in Kansas to work with his dad and his construction business.
The turning point in his life, after living in Florida for ten years and returning to Osceola, AR, he met the love of his life, Niki Parnell, and wed her at the age of 32. To date they have been married for 23 years and have two children Sammy Jr age 34 and Shareka age 31.
Around that same time, Pastor Nelson accepted Christ and became a member of Solomon Temple of God in Christ in Osceola, AR under the leadership of Elder Robert Parnell Jr. There he became a New Convert Teacher and later a deacon in January of 1996.
In September of 1997, Sammy was one of many who helped establish Loving Jesus Ministries in Blytheville, AR under the leadership of Elder Parnell (founder). During his time there, he served as a board member and was ordained as a minister in May of 1998. One night during a musical, he felt the call to minister the word of the Lord. During the service he spoke to God and said “Lord show me a sign.” Shortly after service a guest from Illinois came up to him and said, “The Lord told me to tell you to preach the gospel,” and from that moment on he accepted the calling.
In 2004 Pastor Nelson attended Exodus School of the Bible in Cleveland, MS under the governance of President, Bishop Roderick Mitchell and received a Bachelor’s of Biblical Studies on June 17, 2006.
Also in 2006, Pastor Nelson became the senior Pastor at Loving Jesus Ministries, after serving several years under Pastor Robert Parnell Jr., who had been called into ministry in Chicago, Il. With honesty and integrity, he pastored there for 4 years but could not ignore the call to establish a ministry in Jonesboro, AR. On May 27, 2010, he founded Life Changing Outreach and carried out their first service in a Holiday Inn meeting room there in Jonesboro, AR. Life Changing Outreach has since moved to an improved location at 3100 Orval Orlan Dr. The Mission for Life Changing Outreach is “Each One Reach One” and the Vision is “Reaching out to Change Lives.”
